A letter sent to “Globes” newspaper, allegedly written by an adviser to a senior Likud minister, details improper behaviour by the minister. The letter further alleges that a large media outlet has shelved an investigative report on the subject.

Police: 7 November, 2010
Reudor Benziman, CEO of Channel 10 News, claims that a police major general threatened him and other workers in his company, to try and keep him from publishing unflattering pieces about police violence (Hebrew). Benziman claims that this senior figure told him “we can act against you, too; we know where your editorial board meets and where your studios are, and we know which vehicles are yours. We know how to wait you out.”

Mordechai Shklar, CEO of the Israel Broadcasting Authority, instructed Yoram Cohen, Director of the Channel 1 News Division, to refrain from broadcasting an investigative report about the relationship between Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi and his wife Ronit with Boaz Harpaz, who is involved with the Galant Document affair (Hebrew).
