The Israel Water Authority claims that a water main which burst in Tel-Aviv’s Namir street on Wednesday should have been replaced more than 20 years ago. The Authority’s spokesperson, Uri Shor, said that “the pipes have been neglected not only on Derekh Namir but all through Gush Dan. It’s only a matter of time before it happens somewhere else.”

According to MK Dov Henin (Hadash), the construction acceleration bill has no meaning in practice, since section 23(a) says that the initiator only has to build 20% of the infrastructure within three and a half years.
