Judge Yoram Danziger of the High Court of Justice issued a temporary injunction prohibiting further construction in the illegal settlement Migron, which Palestinian residents of the village Burqa claim was built on private Palestinian land. In a previous hearing, during 2006, the State promised to evacuate the illegal settlement until August 2008. When the deadline passed with no evacuation taking place, the government informed the court that the settlers would be evacuated only after the completion of a new neighborhood for them in a nearby settlement. However, construction activities in Migron continued, most recently with settlers starting construction of three new permanent installations.
