The House Committee of the Knesset (Israeli parliament) will meet today, regarding the Code of Ethics of the Knesset Members. The committee received many reservations to the Code, intended to reduce the supervision on the Knesset members, as well as the Transparency to which they are required.

In the course of a Knesset Finance Committee meeting Eyal Epstein, Commissioner of the Treasury’s Budget Department, refused to state information about the defense budget aloud in the presence of MK Ahmad Tibi (RAAM-TAAL). In lieu of stating the information aloud he whispered the data into the ear of MK Haim Oron (Meretz). (Hebrew)
