Israel Beitenu party is planning to bring back to vote the bill to establish a parliamentary commission of inquiry to examine the leftist NGOs. In addition, MK Uri Ariel (Ha’ichud Hale’umi) and David Rotem (Israel Beitenu) put forward a new bill stating that NGOs which do not support Israel as a Jewish state would be outlawed.
In an Education Committee meeting, MK Yaakov Katz (Ha’Ichud Ha’Leumi) announced that he is going to propose a law according to which GALATZ (IDF Radio) will “represent strictly the consensus and serve as a tailwind for IDF fighter against the enemy”.
MK Aryeh Eldad of Ha’Ichud Ha’Leumi party stated, following the Fogel family murder: “Who the Arabs are, we have known for a hundred years. They like their murder steaming hot. Jewish blood on their blades is cause for celebrations in Gaza and Hebron.”
MKs from the Likud and Kadima has proposed a new bill stating every treaty will have to get approved by the Knesset first, before ratified by the government. MK Danny danon initiated the bill, and was joined by Ze’ev Elkin, Carmel Shama, Tzipi Hotovely, Yariv Levin, Miri Regev and Zion Pinian from the Likud, Avraham Michael and Nissim Ze’ev from Shas, Yaakov Katz from Haihud Haleumi, AND Otniel Schneller from Kadima.
MK Michael Ben Ari (Ha’Ichud Ha’Leumi) said – during an inner conference of the “Eretz Yisrael Shelanu” movement, held in Jerusalem – `that the leftist organizations should be persecuted. Ben Ari called them “traitors to be persecuted at all prices”, “an inner germ”, and “enemies of Israel”. (Hebrew)
48 MKs signed a petition to the government ministers to stop cooperating with 20 Israeli companies. The companies in question signed a contract with the Palestinian Authority, in which they agree not to purchase any products of settlements in the West Bank, in Eastern Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, for the purposes of the construction of the new Palestinian town of Rawabi. Among the signatories are Dahlia Itzik (Kadima), Roni Bar-On (Kadima), Yoel Hasson (Kadima), Ze’ev Elkin (Likud) and Aryeh Eldad (Ha’Ichud Ha’Leumi). (Hebrew)
