The Immigration Unit of the Ministry of Interior jailed a South Sudanese man on the day he submitted a request to delay his expulsion from Israel due to his medical condition. The man has AIDS and his medical condition is critical. During the two days since his imprisonment in Givon prison, he has not received adequate medical care.

A woman from Bangladesh who entered Israel through the Lebanese border after having been physically and emotionally abused by her Lebanese employers was held in an Israeli prison for two months without a hearing because the Population and Immigration Authority delayed dealing with her case. The woman was imprisoned in the Kishon Prison, a criminal detention center, and later transferred to the Givon Prison where illegal residents are held.
