Shlomi Eldar, Arab affairs correspondent, said during an interview that during operation Cast Lead in the Gaza Strip he accumulated materials about “very difficult events, on the issue of ‘the landlord has gone crazy’”. ”If I would have confirmed what I heard, I wouldn’t have been able to live with it. I wouldn’t be able to say it was only a case stray weeds. I still have it in a closed room. I haven’t given it to anybody,” said Eldar.

More than a hundred reserve soldiers signed a petition calling for cutting off the Gaza Strip of electric power and other utilities. The petition wording is ”We call on the Israeli Government to cut off electricity, water and any other critical resource to the Gaza Strip in order to create deterrence ahead of a decision about a ground invasion.”

Gaza Emergency Services spokesperson, Adham Abu-Salmia, said that an 18 month old infant was killed in an IAF attack on the Al-Burayj refugee camp in the Central Gaza Strip. Two of the infant’s brothers, aged 4 and 5, were critically injured in the attack. It was earlier reported that a child was killed in an IAF attack on the Jbalia refugee camp. Medical sources in the strip said that since the beginning of IDF operation “Pillar of Cloud” 50 Palestinians were killed in Gaza, of which 14 were children. (Maan)
