Adi Elsin, 30, an inspector and intelligence coordinator in the Population, Immigration and Border Authority’s Oz enforcement unit, was indicted for allegedly assaulting and extorting Indian labor migrants, and in one case he is suspected of performing indecent acts on a female foreign worker. An indictment has been filed against Aviva Weinstein, wife of Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein, for employing a foreign laborer in her home. Even though the foreign laborer was employed in a home the Weinstein couple share, the name of the AG does not appear in the indictment. (Ynetnews)

Police: 21 November, 2010
An inspector operating on behalf of the Tel Aviv Municipality was arrested on suspicion of having threatened and blackmailed a migrant laborer from the Philippines. The man threatened to report the laborer to the authorities and to ensure that she and her children would be expelled from the country. It transpires from the interrogation that the man also was in the habit of threatening another migrant laborer. (Hebrew)
