The local Council of Misgav and the Ministry of Education do not allow parents in the Eshchar community to run a unique education program in the community, for secular and religious children to study together.

Not long before the vote on the admission committees bill, an additional change has been made to the wording of the bill: according to the proposal of MK Michael Ben Ari, in a settlement in which 80% of the residents agree, the settlement rabbi will be the final determining factor to make the decision and determine whether or not a candidate is worthy of being admitted to a settlement.
