The Knesset Research and Information Center is calling to increase oversight of the defense budget. According to the report only changes over NIS 50 million (~ $14 million) require reporting before being made, while currently all budget changes are below NIS 50. The report further found that the involvement of the Treasury Budget Department in the defense budget is smaller than its involvement in the budgets of other ministries.
