After a court ordered the release from detention of Yutback Dangyut, a 28 year old asylum seeker from South Sudan, the Israel Population and Immigration Authority decided to exploit a week-long delay given by the court for the state to appeal the decision in order to try and deport Dangyut. The Court for Administrative Affairs severely criticized the Ministry of the Interior and the Custody Court in Ktziot, which forced an African asylum seeker to sign a request to return to Chad, without the document being translated into his language, and despite the fact that a legal process in his case has begun.
