During a session of the Knesset’s Committee on Foreign Workers MK Danny Danon (Likud) said that all of the asylum seekers are infiltrators who should be driven out, and that those responsible for their presence in Israel are human rights organizations which lodge court petitions.

A document presented to the Knesset’s Committee on Foreign Workers shows that as of May 2011, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor’s supervision department had only 6 full-time inspectors and 2 students who are supposed to enforce all of the protective labor laws for 250,000 migrant laborers, including those legally working in Israel and those without permits.
