A new report by B’Tselem shows a long line of severe flaws in the Jerusalem Police conduct relating to the arrest of minors. According to the report, the police has opened 1,267 cases against East Jerusalem minors, on suspicions of throwing rocks. Some of the minors were arrested at night, despite the fact that the law states that they should avoid doing so inasmuch as possible, and in many cases the minors were interrogated without their parents present, which is in violation of the law. Some of the children arrested also claim that violence was used against them, and that they were unnecessarily handcuffed. (Hebrew)
