The IDF’s Personnel Directorate decided that from now on all articles in the military weekly “BaMahane” will require prior approval by Chief Education Officer, Brig. Gen. Eli Shermeister. The decision follows the publication of the weekly’s Purim edition which featured soldiers dressed in drag. (Haaretz)

The army weekly Bamahane will henceforth have to send its articles to Brig. Gen. Eli Shermeister, the chief education officer, for approval before publication. This follows the publication of an article in the Purim issue about soldiers dressing up as women and performing as drag queens when off duty.
