Chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Justice Elyakim Rubinstein, has determined that the Likud-Beitenu party broke the elections law when singer Sarit Hadad performed next to Prime-Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  The law stipulates that artists cannot participate in election campaigning. Central Elections Committee Chairman, Justice Elyakim Rubinstein, banned an ad campaign by far-right party Otzma Leyisrael, headed by MKs Aryeh Eldad and Michael Ben-Ari, over charges that it was racist.  The campaign was “meant to degrade a single group in the State of Israel – The Arab population,” explained Rubinstein. Chairman of the Knesset’s Constitution, Law and Justice Committee, MK David Rotem (Yisrael Beitenu), has asked the Central Elections Committee to bar Arab party Balad from the forthcoming elections to the 19th Knesset.  MKs Michael Ben-Ari and Aryeh Eldad (Otzma LeYisrael) asked to bar both Balad and Ra’am-Ta’al, another Arab party, while MK Ofir Akunis (Likud) has asked that MK Hanin Zo’abi (Balad) be disqualified as a candidate. The chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Justice Elyakim Rubinstein, warned MK Haim Katz (Likud), who is also  the chairman of Israel Aerospace Industries’ Labour Union, against using the resources of IAI for his Likud primaries campaign.

Furthermore, a special ballot box was placed in Moshav Hadid, for IAI employees to vote in the primaries during their workday, with ushers distributing lists of favored candidates.
