MK Carmel Shama-Hacohen (Likud) said that “under a final settlement with the Palestinians, we must transfer the Triangle region and the Umm El-Fahm region to the Palestinian Authority”. According to Shama-Hacohen, “I do not support transfer [a population transfer], I just transfer them, their property and their houses to the territories of the Palestinian Authority”, When asked how many Israeli Arabs should move to the PA, he replied “As many as possible”, and added he is afraid of a “takeover by Arab lawyers of the northern district of the Israeli bar association”. “I am for a Jewish and democratic state,” Shama-Hacohen added.
