Ten 12 year old Arab pupils were assaulted by adult passengers on a bus in Jerusalem.  At first a couple of commuters cursed and spat at the pupils, then a different commuter cursed them. The driver initially refused to get involved and only after a passenger physically assaulted the pupils did he stop the bus and call the police. (Haaretz)

According to a passengers, drivers working for “Afikim” transit company, which operates bus routes from Samaria to central Israel, refuse to board palestinians trying to return to their homes in the West Bank.

Tanya Rosenblit, who ignited a battle against the exclusion of women when she refused to sit at the back of a gender-segregated bus, reported to the inter-ministerial committee on the exclusion of women that she has been receiving death threats.

Two bus drivers – one on the 402 bus line from Bnei-Brak to Jerusalem, the other on the 354 bus line from Ramat-Gan to Ashdod – refused to allow secular activists to board their gender segregated buses as part of protest against exclusion of women and gender segregation.  The driver of the 402 line even threatened to break the activists’ cameras.

Haredi men in Beit Shemesh spat on a 7 year old girl because, according to them, she passed them wearing “immodest clothing”.  The men were filmed spitting on women passing through the street, and according to local residents women in town are afraid of sitting in the front of buses.

Palestinians claim that an Israeli bus hit a Palestinian child at the entrance to the village of Al-Lubban a-Sharqiya, near the settlement of Shilo, and did not stop after the accident.  The Palestinians further claim that a Palestinian who tried to chase the bus was attacked by soldiers who got off the bus.
