Four Border Guard officers were charged with abuse after they put a Palestinian, apparently suffering from mental illness, inside a jeep with a dog, threatening to let the dog attack him, and pouring water on him, all because he did not have his identity card with him. The incident occurred at the El-Jib checkpoint, near Givat Ze’ev, north of Jerusalem.

Border Guard officers were arrested on suspicion that they assaulted two newly graduated fellow officers as part of a hazing ceremony. They are accused of punching, kicking and pepper spraying the graduates. (Ynetnews)

An indictment has been served against former Border Guards officers Liel Shamir and Ran HaLevi, who are charged with aggravated assault and abuse of power. They are charged with assaulting a Palestinian, Tysear Gamal, a resident of Hebron, after he honked his car horn at a checkpoint. When Gamal told the officers he has kidney problems, the two hit him even harder, specifically in the kidney area. (Ynetnews)

The Justice Ministry’s Police Investigation Unit has filed two indictments against three Border Policemen who are accused of violence against Palestinians in two separate cases, and conspiracy to cover up their actions. Border Policemen Omri Cohen and Danny Abara are accused of attacking a Palestinian who complained about a body search they conducted on him, and of lodging a false report of the incident, claiming the Palestinian man attacked them. Moshe Lama is charged with breaking the pelvis of a Palestinian labourer. (Haaretz)
