Books of religious law written by Shas party spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef were burned at a major intersection in Or Yehuda by unknown persons.

MK Haim Amsalem published a book – “In the name of reason”, which was distributed to yeshivas throughout the country. In some placed the book was burned and a pamphlet was published comparing Amsalem to Jesus.
