Jerusalem’s Prosecutor’s Office will cancel all charges against Udai Biomi, Resident of the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Beit Hanina, who was held for 21 days on charges of aggravated assault of a police officer based on the testimony of two Border Police officers. CCTV footage shown in the courtroom revealed that it was actually Biomi who was assaulted by the officers. (Haaretz)

A Palestinian without a criminal background from the Jerusalem neighborhood of Beit Hanina was arrested approximately a month ago on suspicion of reckless driving in a stolen vehicle in Jerusalem. The District Court ruled that he did not pose a danger to the public and must be released to house arrest, but four days later police officers arrested him again on the same charges.

The incidents took place in Qaryut, Silwan, Burin, Hizma, Beit Hanina, the Qalqilya and Nablus governorates.
