Extreme right-wing activist Noam Federman was acquitted of attacking an activist of the Shovrim Shtika organization three years ago at Baruch Goldstein’s tomb in Hebron, even though his actions were documented on video. A judge of the Jerusalem Peace Court, Yitzhak Shimoni, wrote in his decision that “the push was carried out under very special circumstances, and public interest does not require, in this case, the convicting of the defendant, since it is a minor act and its influence on society is miniscule”. Federman responded, saying that “It is time that the traitor leftists who snitch on IDF soldiers and make provocations in Hebron will understand every trick has its limits. We will not let them desecrate the tomb of Baruch Goldstein, and anyone who does so shouldn’t expect to receive candy”. (Hebrew)
