The Tel-Aviv District Court handed a sentence of six months community service to Haim Mula who was convicted in the framework of a plea bargain of involvement in a molotov cocktail attack on the homes of asylum seekers in Tel-Aviv. The judge harshly criticized the prosecution, saying “the fact the plea bargain was reached due to lack of hard evidence was problematic. It is hard to understand how an indictment is served when there is such a shortage of evidence.” (Jerusalem Post)

Jews tried to set a church on fire in the Galilee village of Biram.  On the floor next to the entrance to the church a star of david was spray painted along with the word “revenge.”

An apartment rented by Eritreans in Jerusalem was torched and four of its residents were injured.  One of the walls was sprayed with the words “Get out of the neighborhood”. (Haaretz) In recent weeks the apartment’s owner received threats that if he doesn’t evict the residents, the building will be torched. (Ynetnews)
