The Ministry of Education has filed indictments against five couples, who are accused of violating the compulsory education law, because they chose to send their children to an Arab-Jewish Waldorf school which did not receive proper accreditation. It should be noted that the prosecution of parents whose children attend a school unrecognized by the Education Ministry is a fairly common occurrence. (Haaretz)

Jewish residents of the Acre neighborhood of Hakerem B are demanding that the sale of a house to an Arab family be cancelled. The residents gathered near the sold house, raised the Israeli flag and called on the seller to go back on the deal. The protest was lead by the “Our Acre” organization, whose manager, Adir Cohen, claims that the buyer is a Hadash party activist who made the purchase out of political motivations. (Haaretz)

Three Jewish youths were arrested on suspicion of assaulting an Arab youth in Tiberias over the weekend. During their investigation it was discovered that two of the youths were also involved in an assault on an Arab resident of Yaffo last week. (Haaretz)

The owner of a vehicle which was parked illegally in Jerusalem assaulted an Arab parking inspector with punches and kicks to the head and ribs after the warden gave him a parking citation. Eyewitness accounts indicate that the assailant said to the Arab – Israeli “your uniform, you should wear with Hezbollah.” (BeHadrei Haredim)

The Jerusalem Police has stated that the assault on an Arab woman near the light rail station in the city was racially motivated. According to the Police, the young women suspected of the assault met the woman by chance, asked her if she was an Arab, and when she replied that she was, they assaulted her. (Ynetnews)

According to police data, 56 “price tag” incidents took place across Jerusalem in 2012, mainly targeting Arabs and Arab-owned property. Suspect were detainedin only 12 of the cases, and not all of them were indicted. In 2011 police recorded only 28 “price tag” incidents.
