Sami Hawari, an Israeli-Arab resident of Akko, wanted to buy an apartment in a new neighborhood being build in town. He was told that there is a waiting list, but the apartment was offered to Jews without a waiting list.

The Haifa district attorney filed a charge sheet against a Jewish minor aged 16, a resident of Akko. The minor is charged with attempted arson, conspiring to break the law, and vandalizing a car, motivated by racism. The charge sheet claims that the defendant, together with three others, conspired to vandalize and set on fire the car of Ahmad Sarhan, an Arab resident of Akko, just because he’s an Arab.
