61 soldiers and officers from Air Force base Palmachim have sent a letter earlier this week to the Air Force commander, to ministers in the government, and to non-profit ”Let the Animals Live,” organisation. In the letter, the soldiers argue that the current life conditions of the guard dogs at the base are considered “abuse. ” The soldiers were tried by Court Martial yesterday, and most of them received a disciplinary reprimand, except for a soldier who was sent to a 21 days confinement to the base.
