Tel Aviv’s only homeless shelter for drug and alcohol addicts bars entrance to HIV/AIDS patients in violation of the law. The shelter operates under the authority of the Tel Aviv Municipality, which has privatized its services for taking care of the homeless, handing them over to Lasova non-profit.

The Immigration Unit of the Ministry of Interior jailed a South Sudanese man on the day he submitted a request to delay his expulsion from Israel due to his medical condition. The man has AIDS and his medical condition is critical. During the two days since his imprisonment in Givon prison, he has not received adequate medical care.
