During a discussion in the Knesset’s education committee regarding “the driving out of Zionist in academe”, the chairman of the committee, Zvulon Orlev, ordered (Hebrew) the representatives of the ACRI out of the chamber. After ordering out attorney Debbi Gild-Khayu of the ACRI after she spoke, MK Ahmed Tibi told him he sent the ACRI representative out; Orlev replied: “The ACRI? It shouldn’t be here”. Later on he ordered Hagai Elad, ACRI’s chairman, to leave as well.

Member of Knessed Michael Ben Ari (HaIhud HaLeum/National Union) said that “in a normal country, [Member of Knesset] Ahmed Tibi would be breathing the grass from under the ground.”
