Knesset Member Yariv Levin (Likud), chair of the Knesset Committee, is holding up discussion of the law proposed by Knesset Member Ahmed Tibi, which would appoint an Arab representative to the Equal Opportunity Commission. This law passed its preliminary reading.Levin said that he informed Tibi that he would do everything to prevent the passing of the law. “I made it clear that the fact that he wishes to put an Arab representative in this role, and not a member of a minority sector loyal to the state, such as the Druze, for example, is intolerable.” (Hebrew)
