Pamphlets were hung in Bat Yam, calling for a demonstration next week against what they call “the turning of the city into a recreation site for Arabs”. Under the headline of “Keeping Bat Yam Jewish”, the pamphlets say, inter alia, “the Arabs are taking over Bat Yam, buying and renting apartments from Jews, taking and cursing the daughters of the city. 15 thousand Jewish girls were taken to the villages. Jews, let’s win.” Another pamphlet asks the residents “What would yo do if an Arab would pick up your sister? We have recently learned of an agonizing phenomenon – hundreds of the girls of Bat Yam and the center are fraternizing with Arabs”. The pamphlet appears to be an initiative of local residents, receiving instruction from students in the yeshiva of rabbi Yizhak Shapira of Yizhar. (Hebrew)
