Settlers and Settlements: May 26, 2012
In the last year, the Civil Administration opened about three times as many cases for illegal construction against Palestinians than it did against settlers in Area C of the West Bank, which is under Israeli control. This, despite the fact that the settler population of 300,000 is twice as large as the Palestinian population in the area. Further, a database prepared in 2007 shows that almost all settlements build illegally on private Palestinian lands.
