The Minister of the Interior, Eli Yihsai, was absent from a special discussion of national disasters in the Local Government Symposium. The minister explained his absence by saying he made an earlier commitment to be present at a candle lighting ceremony in the Western Wall, but he was absent from it, as well. Yishai’s communication advisor, Ro’ee Lahmanovich, said that the announcement that the minister will be present the the candle-lighting ceremony was based on a schedule item which was later cancelled.
