The Ministry of Justice is promoting an amendment to current law that would enable police to carry out a physical search on any citizen located in a place defined as liable to violent events, even if that individual is not suspected of any crime. The law is expected to pass within the framework of the Adjustments Act [similar to Appropriations Acts in the U.S.].
