The Interior Ministry’s Population and Immigration Authority refuses to allow Yifat Zohar, a 42 year old Israeli woman, and her Nigerian husband Goodluck Ayemo, who were married a year ago in Nigeria, to start the multiyear naturalization process for a foreign spouse. According to the Ministry, the relationship between the two is not genuine and is a way for Zohar to become pregnant and for Ayemo to obtain Israeli citizenship.
