The Ministry of Internal Affairs is conditioning the granting of citizenship to foreigners who undergo Orthodox conversion to Judaism abroad on the approval of the Chief Rabbinate, despite previous agreements that the Jewish Agency is the body responsible for the approval of such conversions.
