According to a report by B’Tzelem and the Center for Individual Rights, the legal authorities violate the human rights of the detainees in the GSS’s detainment facility in Petah Tikva. The testimonies of 121 detainees show that detainees locked in sealed solitary cells, under inadequate hygiene measures, and suffer from sleep deprivation and from being handcuffed for prolonged periods in the interrogation chambers. 13 detainees reported sleep deprivation of more than 24 hours, and 9% of them reported violence was used against them. In one case, a 63 years widow was brought to the facility, and her family members held there were exposed to her suffering in detainment. After two days, the widow was dismissed without any charge.
