Approximately 50 Jewish worshippers entrenched themselves in the Joseph’s Tomb compound in Nablus, and an additional 200 Israelis infiltrated city limits. Palestinian residents of Nablus complained that the worshippers damaged their property. One of Jews present was Rabbi Eliezer Berland, leader of the “Shuvu Banim” community, of which Ben-Yosef Livnat, who was killed by Palestinian Police fire at the tomb compound, was a member.
