During a discussion in the Knesset’s Interior Committee, the GSS’s legal counsel supported (Hebrew) the bill depriving Israelis convicted of terror acts or espionage of their citizenship. According to him, “the principles of the bill, the authority to deny citizenship, we consider it an element of deterrence in extreme cases of harming security”.
