Supreme Court Justices criticized state attorneys in a hearing about the appeal by the Green Movement against the appointment of General Yoav Galant to the position of Chief of Staff. The Green movement makes the claim that he took over public lands in the village of Amikam, where he lives. The justices noted that in a prior appeal the State argued that Galant had won the lands along with other residents, while in today’s hearing the State argued that Galant won the lands approved especially for him. The justices also expressed surprise at the fact that Galant did not leave the territories he was required to pull back from, and did not act to remove a wall he had constructed inside the village.
