The IDF announced a general curfew on the West Bank for the first two days of Passover. Minister of Defense Ehud Barak (Atzmaut) decided to impose the closure based on the IDF’s assessment. Only humanitarian cases and extreme medical emergencies will be exempted from the curfew, upon approval from the Civil Administration.
Settlers and Settlements: April 6, 2012
The state prosecution told the High Court yesterday it would not demolish three structures being built on private Palestinian land in the Beit El settlement by May 2012, due to the IDF’s operational needs in the West Bank. The buildings are being built on private Palestinian land and still uninhabited. In April 2010 the government committed to demolish the buildings within a year.
