The United Nation’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has found that settlers have completely taken over 30 of the West Bank’s water springs, and turned some of them into tourist attractions, limiting Palestinians’ access to them.  A further 26 springs are at risk of settler takeover. The IDF’s Personnel Directorate decided that from now on all articles in the military weekly “BaMahane” will require prior approval by Chief Education Officer, Brig. Gen. Eli Shermeister.  The decision follows the publication of the weekly’s Purim edition which featured soldiers dressed in drag. (Haaretz)

Assaf Yakutieli, the police officer on trial for allegedly causing the death of a badly injured Palestinian man, after leaving him on the side of the road without food, water or medical assistance, was investigated last week by the internal affairs division for obstruction of justice, after he allegedly harassed one of the trial’s central witnesses.
