Members of the Security Cabinet and the eight-minister security forum expressed resentment over the Prime Minister and Defense Minister’s decision not to convene any of the security forums since the PM’s return from the United States, and that decisions regarding the military response in Gaza were made without their involvement. Arab employees of supermarket chain Rami Levi were not invited to the company’s Purim party. One of the employees claims that the decision was made because in last year’s party Arab employees hit on female Jewish employees.

Internal Security: March 15, 2012
The Tel-Aviv District Court ruled that severe negligence by law enforcement officials is to blame for the exposure of a police informant’s identity. The ruling follows a critical State Comptroller report issued last year on the police’s witness protection program, which highlighted significant systemic failures which ultimately led to the murder of two police informants by criminal elements.
