The police ignored a plea for help from a 16 year old youth who managed to call them while struggling with a 60 year old who attempted to rape him. The police officers even joked with the youth and suggested that he “drink something” with the man.

The Jerusalem Police has stated that the assault on an Arab woman near the light rail station in the city was racially motivated.
